Formulations Race :D … “Onset of different Dosage forms”

Our Toon today is very simple :happy:

We have two winners in the race :cheerful:

Winner No.1 : The IV injection … ( the superman syringe in our Toon 😎 )

Intravenous route gives the most Rapid Onset with complete 100% bioavailability as the drug is directly injected into the blood stream 🙂

Winner No.2 : The sublingual tablet … ( notice the small tablet holding onto the superman IV syringe and teasing other formulations by sticking his tongue out :tongue: ” makes sense as it’s Sublingual right ! 😉 “ )

 

[tip] The reason why sublingual route has a very rapid onset that can be compared to IV , is that the tissues under the tongue are very very rich with blood supply , so sublingual route makes the drug in contact with Highly vascular tissues leading to very rapid absorption from the oral cavity directly into the blood stream  🙂 [/tip]
